The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Wildman takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Bamba doesn't manage to clinch there - The Wildman circles away.
Bamba misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
The Wildman shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bamba's guard.
Bamba striking off his back but it's not causing The Wildman any problems.
The Wildman stops Bamba from standing up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The Wildman tries to free his leg and advance position but Bamba is retaining full guard.
The Wildman slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Let's hope that The Wildman has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Waway The Wildman wasn't active enough on the ground.
Bamba tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but The Wildman paws at him with a jab and circles away.

The Wildman is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Bamba.

Bamba has his takedown stuffed
and The Wildman decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bamba's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The Wildman wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bamba, who protects the arm well.
