Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joe Abbles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jed Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joe Abbles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jed Kim!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kim clinches up against the cage.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Kim as Abbles tries to tie him up.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Abbles jumps guard but Kim stands there with Abbles around his waist. Abbles gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Abbles fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Abbles stalling in the clinch but Kim improves position.

Kim is looking to clinch.
Kim shoots in for a takedown but Abbles shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kim shoots in looking for a takedown. Abbles tries to sprawl out of it but Kim keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Abbles manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Kim fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Abbles avoids it really well and circles away.

Kim throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Abbles.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
No luck for Kim with that takedown attempt.
Kim tries to close the distance and clinch up but Abbles swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Kim shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Abbles pinned against the cage. Abbles gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Kim will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Kim closes the distance and clinches up with Abbles, looking for a takedown. Kim pushes Abbles against the cage but Abbles circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Kim scores with a three punch combo!
Kim fails to land the takedown.
Kim looks gassed!
Abbles tries to close the distance and clinch but Kim swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A telegraphed right hand from Kim misses the target.
Abbles fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kim manages to avoid it.
Kim takes one to the chin there.
Abbles looks to score with a jab to the body but Kim is just out of range.
Kim misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kim shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Abbles as he jumps to the side.
Kim misses with a takedown attempt - Abbles sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jed Kim will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Abbles looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kim is fending him off so far but Abbles persists. Nope, Kim circles away and we're back to standing.
Kim tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Abbles swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kim shoots in but no luck this time.

Abbles fails in his attempt to clinch.
Kim closes the distance and clinches up with Abbles, looking for a takedown. Kim pushes Abbles against the cage but Abbles circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Abbles keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Abbles throws a nice looking combination but Kim bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Abbles shoots in for a double leg but Kim sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Kim closes the distance and clinches up with Abbles, looking for a takedown. Kim pushes Abbles against the cage but Abbles circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Horrible takedown by Kim or perhaps it was just good defense by Abbles which made him look bad.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Abbles is looking to wear down Kim with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Kim fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Abbles avoids it really well and circles away.

Abbles tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kim swivels and escapes.
Kim avoids the body shot from Abbles.
Abbles stuffs the takedown attempt from Kim. Kim gets slowly back to his feet.
Kim changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Abbles tries to avoid it but Kim manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Abbles to the ground. Abbles escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Kim is trying hard to land a takedown here. Abbles sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Abbles rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kim moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Kim tries to clinch up but Abbles circles away and keeps his distance.

Abbles misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kim.

Kim shoots in looking for a takedown but Abbles manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kim's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
