The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hendricks will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Silva ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Silva is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Hendricks's half guard.
Hendricks gets back to full guard.
Silva tries to free his leg and advance position but Hendricks is retaining full guard.
Silva must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Silva is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Hendricks reverses the position - he's now on top in Silva's guard.

Hendricks is pushing down on Silva's leg trying to pass to half guard. Silva is fighting to maintain full guard but Hendricks has managed to sneak the leg through.

Hendricks seems to be looking for submissions.

Hendricks has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Silva defend it? Hendricks steps over the head and cranks it - Silva is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Hendricks!
