Liddell comes into the arena with DMX blaring out of the sound system. Shizyuka Shizo is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shizo fails with a takedown attempt.

Shizo closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Liddell to the mat! Liddell manages to get full guard.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Shizyuka Shizo wasn't active enough on the ground.

Liddell throws a series of punches but Shizo avoids them all with ease.
Charlie Liddell is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Shizo looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Shizo takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Liddell pounces like a tiger and cracks Shizo with a vicious hook! Shizo is down but not out! Liddell follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
