The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Slater sprawls well. Slater wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Smith gets slowly back to his feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Smith.
Smith shoots in looking for a takedown but Slater manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Smith's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
AC Slater has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steve Smith.
The fighters circle momentarily. Slater darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Smith is trying hard to land a takedown here. Slater sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Slater! Smith is hurt baaadly! Slater is firing away with more strikes - Smith is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
