The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Megareem gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Ilkka throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Megareem throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Ilkka blocks it with crossed arms.
Ilkka tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Megareem just stands there and leans against the cage.
Megareem tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Ilkka takes an elbow to the forehead.
With the fighters up against the cage, Ilkka throws an elbow but misses.
Megareem avoids the elbow strike from Ilkka, against the cage.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Megareem lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Ilkka comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Megareem tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Ilkka avoids it.

Megareem pushes Ilkka back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Ilkka creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Megareem stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Megareem cracks Ilkka on the chin with a massive knee to the head! He's been separated from consciousness before he even hits the floor! Absolutely fantastic knee and a brutal finish!
