Oviedo kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Tony Presidio. Mboma avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Mboma sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Oviedo connects with a nice short shot to Mboma's temple.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Oviedo looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Mboma regains full guard. Nicely done.

Mboma has his foot on Oviedo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Oviedo works his way back into a safe position though.

Mboma working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Oviedo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Mboma is tightening it up a little... Oviedo has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Oviedo reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Oviedo taps out! nice BJJ there by Mboma!
