The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kang looks to land a right hand but Makunouchi moved out of range.
Makunouchi misses with a straight left.
Kang throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Makunouchi looks to land a right hand but Kang moved out of range.
Kang takes a swing at Makunouchi's ribcage but misses.
Kang thows a body shot but no joy.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Makunouchi throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kang.

Kang cracks Makunouchi with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Kang rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Makunouchi scores with a counter punch that sends Kang to the canvas! Makunouchi smells blood - he's punishing Kang with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Kang has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
