Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Robinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Quinlan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Quinlan's choice of entrance music: Suspect Device. Nathan Robinson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Nathan Robinson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Patrick Quinlan!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Ackerman and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Quinlan moves into the clinch.
Quinlan lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Quinlan lands a nice elbow.


It looks like Nathan Robinson has been cut.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Quinlan.
Quinlan comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Quinlan gets through Robinson's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Quinlan is pushing Robinson up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
A nice right hand lands inside from Quinlan.

Robinson has hold of Quinlan's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Quinlan manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Quinlan sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

Robinson is looking for a kimura but Quinlan is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Robinson to get the leverage.

Robinson is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Quinlan sees it coming and defends easily.

Robinson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Quinlan is just riding it out for now. Robinson eventually gives up the hold.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Quinlan flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Robinson throws an elbow but Quinlan slips to the side and avoids it well.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Robinson shoots in looking for a takedown. Quinlan tries to sprawl out of it but Robinson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Quinlan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Robinson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Robinson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Quinlan throws a right and a left that both miss.

Robinson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Quinlan scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Quinlan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Quinlan wants it to stay on the feet.

Robinson is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Quinlan is surviving well by controlling Robinson's body position as best he can.
