Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marcelo Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bill Zebub (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Garcia kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Silence by Nobody. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garcia checks a leg kick nicely.
Garcia defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Zebub.
Zebub closes this distance looking for a takedown but Garcia circles away.
Garcia slaps away a takedown attempt from Zebub, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Marcelo Garcia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bill Zebub.

Garcia has hold of Zebub's hands but Zebub slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Zebub thows a huge punch but Garcia dodges it nicely.
Zebub wants to lay and pray for a moment but Garcia keeps working.
Zebub has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Zebub thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Garcia to regain full guard.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Garcia is trying to stand up here but Zebub is controlling him well.

and Zebub counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Garcia's guard now.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Zebub's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Zebub controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Zebub stops Garcia from standing up.

Garcia is looking to stand back up but Zebub counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Garcia.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Poor strikes thrown by Zebub there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Zebub can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Garcia is looking to escape.

Zebub working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Garcia turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Zebub off and cradles Garcia's limp body as Zebub celebrates with his corner.
