The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kartago tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Drost manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Kartago wants to clinch up but Drost keeps it at a distance.
Kartago connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Kartago gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Drost takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Drost thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kartago's head.
Kartago is in trouble now - Drost has advanced to mount!

The referee warns Kartago that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Kartago is rocked!
Drost lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Kartago! Drost sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Kartago and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!
