The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penn tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mizakota was well out of range. Poor timing from Penn.

Penn is looking to wear down Mizakota with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Mizakota is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Penn is aware though and is defending well.

Penn got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mizakota has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Penn has managed to get both his arms back between Mizakota's legs - danger averted.
Penn stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mizakota swivels though and keeps the full guard.
