The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McDanver instigates a clinch.

McDanver has clasped his hands together around Silver's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
McDanver in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Silver avoids any damage from the ground and pound of McDanver.
Silver tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but McDanver wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
McDanver grinds an elbow into Silver's temple.

McDanver tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Silver seems to have got his legs back now.
Silver parries the strikes from McDanver easily there. McDanver is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Silver to escape.
McDanver scores with punches from side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
