Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael the machette!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

the machette wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Kampmann.

Kampmann has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Kampmann looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
the machette is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
the machette has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kampmann is working away from the top position though.
the machette takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Kampmann looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Kampmann lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
