Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tyrone Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Rivera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes into the arena with Az Yet - Last Night blaring out of the sound system. Rivera comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Your Hand in Mine kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Jones sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Rivera rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jones moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Rivera shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jones's guard.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Carlos Rivera wasn't active enough on the ground.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Rivera is staying tight to Jones's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Jones is trying to improve his position.
Rivera wants to control but Jones is keeping him busy.

Rivera tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rivera has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Rivera is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jones is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Tyrone Jones will probably get the nod.
