Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Victor Sagat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wrestler Guy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wrestler Guy has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sagat's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Sagat duly obliges.

It looks like Wrestler Guy has been cut.

Guy shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Sagat manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Guy trying to stand up but can't free himself from Sagat's guard.
Sagat is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Guy pushes Sagat off looking to stand but Sagat dives back in and keeps control.
Guy is looking to improve his position.
Sagat working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Guy decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Guy seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Guy darts in and clinches Sagat up against the cage.
Sagat lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Guy drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Sagat gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Sagat obliges.
Guy goes for a takedown in the clinch but Sagat prevents it.

Sagat's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Guy isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Sagat stacks Guy on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Sagat!

Guy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sagat. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Sagat won't let Guy get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Sagat lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Guy is desperately trying to improve his position but Sagat has a good base and remains in mount.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Guy can do anything to dispel that myth.

Guy wants to stand and escape but instead Sagat has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Sagat swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Sagat tries to close the distance and clinch up but Guy swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Sagat counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Guy is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Guy feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
