Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rodney Couture (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Xavier Fernandez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fernandez misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Couture.
Couture scores with a leg kick.
Nice defenses there by Fernandez.
Couture throws a chopping leg kick but Fernandez manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Couture does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Fernandez enables Couture to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Fernandez manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Couture wants to control from the top but Fernandez keeps moving.
Couture sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Fernandez's guard.
Couture is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Couture slips a nice elbow through Fernandez's hands, connecting with Fernandez's forehead.
Couture lands with a punch from half guard.
Couture is keen to just control but Fernandez is a slippery customer.
Couture drops an elbow to the side of Fernandez's head.
Couture seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Fernandez is not content to let Couture control the position.

Couture looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Fernandez with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Couture working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Fernandez is rocked!
Couture is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Fernandez!
Fernandez is still in real trouble! Can Couture finish him?
Oooooh, big shot lands for Couture! Fernandez is hurt baaadly! Couture is firing away with more strikes - Fernandez is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
