Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Angry Angus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcelo Riviera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Riviera has chosen Ludacris - Act a fool as his entrance music. Marcelo Riviera will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riviera tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Riviera gets tackled into the cage by Angus. Angus maintains the clinch.
Angus on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Angus managing to block the knees to the body from Riviera.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Riviera's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Riviera throws a head kick that Angus semi-blocks.

Angus stands and throws Riviera's legs to the side, diving into side control.
A lull in the action here as Angus stalls from top position.
Angus throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

and Angus counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Riviera!
The referee warns Riviera that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Angus is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Riviera has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Riviera!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Angus manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Riviera manages to get himself to full guard.

Angus turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Angus manages to end up in side control.
Angus wants to lay and pray for a moment but Riviera keeps working.
Riviera seems a little lost for a moment, as Angus dominates the positioning.

Angus is looking to take a break and control but Riviera is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Angry Angus overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Riviera jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Angus is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Angus and Riviera has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Riviera is breathing heavily.
Angus is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Riviera's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Riviera trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Angus tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Angus seems keen to control Riviera's posture.
Angus's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Riviera really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Angus. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Riviera is looking to stand up but Angus won't let him.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Riviera tries to clinch but fails miserably

so Angus counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Angus controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Angus not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Riviera wants to stand and escape but Angus is having none of it.

Riviera takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Riviera throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Angus decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Riviera's guard.
Angus has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Angus is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Angry Angus.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Angus, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
