Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mason Terell!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Jonathan Paton and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nao throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Terell shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Nao sprawls well. Nao wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Terell gets slowly back to his feet.
Terell throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Nao swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Nao on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Nao lands a body shot.
Nao misses with an uppercut
and Terell counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Nao paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Nao throws a poor cross that misses
and Terell counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Eiji Nao seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Terell takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Nao throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Terell counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Good shot there by Nao.
Terell rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Terell takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Nao on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Nao slips under a jab from Terell.
Terell throws a jab but it's blocked by Nao.
Terell slips a jab and a cross from Nao.
Nao cracks a nice hook into Terell's ribs.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nao throws an off balance right hand
and Terell counters with a single leg into guard. Nao didn't expect that.
Terell throws a strike but Nao rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
That's one minute gone in the round.

Nao stands up and waves to Terell to follow him.
Terell misses with a looping left.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Nao throws a right hand that Terell ducks under and follows up with a left that Terell also avoids with ease.
Terell dives in and grabs Nao's left leg, looking for a takedown. Nao pushes down on Terell's head and hops out.
Nao tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Terell was well out of range. Poor timing from Nao.
Nice defenses there by Terell.
Terell paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Nao throws a lazy right hand but Terell sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Terell falls off balance throwing a combination
and Nao counters with a straight right hand.
Nao throws a shot from downtown. Terell moves away and avoids it.
Terell lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Nao at a distance.
A big left from Nao misses.
Nao tests Terell's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Nao stuffs the takedown attempt from Terell. Terell gets slowly back to his feet.
Eiji Nao has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mason Terell.
Nao misses with a straight right.
Nao throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Terell counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Nao misses with a jab to the body
and Terell connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Terell smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
A left and a right from Terell both land. Nice combination.
Nao misses with a lunging right hand
and Terell counters with a takedown into side control.
Nao is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Terell is chipping away with strikes.
Terell wants to control but Nao is keeping him busy.
Terell cracks Nao with a big right hand but Nao just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Terell has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Nao is working to avoid the ground and pound but Terell connects with a decent elbow.

Terell scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Nao to see if he's OK.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Terell postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Terell tries to score with some ground and pound. Nao controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Terell has an Americana. Nao didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Terell is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Terell hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Mason Terell!
