Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Freddy James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James comes to the cage accompanied by We Want The Funk by George Clinton & the P-Funk Allstars. The crowd seem to be enjoying Brown's choice of entrance music: Emanuel - The Hey Man. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Freddy James!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Brown!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James misses with a double jab.
Brown tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
James throws a right hand that misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Brown takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Brown lands a leg kick that knocks James off balance momentarily.
A head kick misses from Brown.
A jab lands there for James.
Brown throws a leg kick
and James counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
James misses with a hook. Brown ducked under it nicely.
James scores with the left hand. Brown knows he should have avoided that one.

Brown lands a leg kick that knocks James off balance momentarily.
James misses the shot to the body.
Brown has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Brown there as he acknowledges the shot.
Brown cracks the inside of James's front leg.

A looping hook to the body misses from James. Brown does a little dance to reset his feet.

James throws a leg kick
and Brown finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
James tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Brown paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and James cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Some bone on bone action there as James checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Freddy James seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A close second round but Mark Brown will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
