Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joseph Douglas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
12 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Will Rounded!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A low kick from Douglas is predictable there
and Rounded counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Rounded lands with a punch from half guard.
Rounded keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Douglas manages to get to full guard.
Rounded controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Douglas tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Rounded stands and throws Douglas's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Rounded landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.

Rounded wants to control but Douglas is keeping him busy.

Rounded has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Douglas is desperately trying to improve his position but Rounded has a good base and remains in mount.

I looks like Rounded might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Douglas shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

and Rounded counters with a left and a right that stings Douglas.

Rounded slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Douglas knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rounded on the ground.

Rounded takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Rounded wants to free his trapped foot but Douglas is holding on for dear life with his legs.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Will Rounded hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Rounded shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Douglas but Douglas pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Douglas misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Douglas takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Rounded tries to score a power double leg takedown but Douglas sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rounded somewhat.

Douglas walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Rounded checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Rounded blocks the body kick.
Douglas throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Douglas throws a head kick that misses
and Rounded counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Rounded sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Douglas is looking to stand up but Rounded isn't so interested in that idea.
Douglas can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Rounded controls the pace.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Will Rounded showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Douglas tries to score with a low kick but Rounded moves his leg out of the way.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rounded bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Douglas's head backwards.

Douglas throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Rounded works to advance to full mount. Douglas defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Rounded unloads with some shots from mount but Douglas bucks and avoids them well.

The referee warns Douglas that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Douglas tries to lock up and control but Rounded gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Rounded looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Rounded is landing with some decent strikes but Douglas is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
