Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Agapito Hampaslupa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frank Jackson acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Agapito Hampaslupa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Frank Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Damien Edna and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hampaslupa jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Jackson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hampaslupa, pushing him back against the cage.

Jackson is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Hampaslupa can't fight it off and eventually Jackson manages to take the fight to the floor. Hampaslupa looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Hampaslupa working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jackson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jackson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Jackson's corner is telling him to maintain position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hampaslupa is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Hampaslupa really is a fat lump.
Hampaslupa will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hampaslupa. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Frank Jackson has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Jackson takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Jackson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Jackson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hampaslupa swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Jackson stays in close to Hampaslupa's body and controls the position.

Hampaslupa manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Jackson is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Hampaslupa wants to control the action but instead Jackson gets a body lock and reverses into Hampaslupa's guard! Nice work!

Jackson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Jackson wants to pass the guard but Hampaslupa is keeping the position.
Hampaslupa is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Hampaslupa seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jackson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Hampaslupa tries to clinch up

Jackson seems to be working for a kimura but Hampaslupa defends the submission attempt.
Hampaslupa tries to kick Jackson off but Jackson keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hampaslupa is on top in guard.
Hampaslupa will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Jackson can't keep his opponent in guard - Hampaslupa advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Jackson is trying to get back to full guard.
Hampaslupa wants to control but Jackson is keeping him busy.

Frank Jackson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Hampaslupa swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Jackson.
Jackson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hampaslupa's waist but Hampaslupa gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jackson off to one side.
Agapito Hampaslupa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
