Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ben Foster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johny Pudzian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pudzian has chosen Toony - Los (Feat. Pih & Fabuła) as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Johny Pudzian enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ben Foster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 16 - 0, fighting out of London, Johny Pudzian!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Donald Grub and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pudzian shoots in looking for a takedown but Foster manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Pudzian's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Foster keeps the fight on the outside.
Pudzian dives in and grabs Foster's left leg, looking for a takedown. Foster pushes down on Pudzian's head and hops out.
Pudzian tries to close the distance and clinch but Foster swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Foster rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Pudzian moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Foster shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Pudzian defends it nicely.
Pudzian doesn't manage to clinch there - Foster circles away.
Pudzian displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Foster.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pudzian lands with a slapping head kick.
Pudzian ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Foster really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Foster displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Pudzian throws out the jab.

Ben Foster has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johny Pudzian.

Foster has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Foster slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Pudzian wants to sweep but no luck.

Pudzian is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Foster seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Pudzian for as long as he can get away with.
Foster might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Pudzian is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Foster wants to work for an arm triangle but Pudzian is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Foster is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Pudzian is just riding it out for now. Foster eventually gives up the hold.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Pudzian is looking to improve his position but Foster isn't that keen on the idea.

Foster takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Foster is looking to work his way around to Pudzian's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Foster counters with a shoot takedown. Pudzian fights it but they end up in guard.
Foster won't allow Pudzian to sweep him here.

Pudzian manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Foster manages to get himself to full guard.
Pudzian stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Foster swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Pudzian is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Foster.
Foster bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Foster throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Pudzian tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Foster is in Pudzian's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Foster, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
