Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Pedro Buhawi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shinya Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shinya Aoki has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buhawi throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Buhawi leaves Aoki with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Buhawi lands a high kick to the side of Aoki's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Buhawi dives into guard, looking to finish.

It looks like Shinya Aoki has been cut.

Aoki is looking for a triangle but Buhawi pushes his legs off easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
