The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meek shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

and Meek counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Smith's guard now.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Smith is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Meek's half guard.

Smith has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Meek. Oh but Smith has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Meek goes limp - he's gone! Smith jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
