The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wrestler moves out of range as Swearingen strikes.
Swearingen ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Wrestler moves away.
Wrestler scores with a shot to the body.
Swearingen misses with a straight right.
Wrestler ducks under a wild hook from Swearingen.

Wrestler shoots in and bounces Swearingen off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Wrestler stands and throws Swearingen's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Wrestler trying to control the action but Swearingen is working from the bottom.
Swearingen is trying to improve his position.

Wrestler is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Swearingen has escaped the position, nice work there.
Wrestler cracks Swearingen with a big right hand but Swearingen just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Swearingen wants to control but Wrestler postures up.
Swearingen tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Wrestler wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Swearingen takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Swearingen prevents Wrestler from moving into mount.
Wrestler in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Swearingen is looking for a sweep.
Swearingen takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Wrestler lands a nice forearm strike.

Swearingen looks gassed!

Wrestler tries for a kimura but Swearingen is defending well.
Wrestler creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Swearingen sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Wrestler lands a few punches from side control.

It looks like Charlie Swearingen has been cut.
Wrestler tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Wrestler sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Swearingen is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Wrestler staying calm.
Wrestler cracks Swearingen with a big right hand but Swearingen just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Wrestler is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Swearingen knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Swearingen is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Wrestler grinds an elbow into Swearingen's temple.

Charlie Swearingen's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Charlie Swearingen's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
