Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yurian Harmsong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Sergei Dronov and Viktor Lagutenko.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harmsong connects with a good right hand that stumbles Smith. Smith circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Smith looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Smith tries to bum rush Harmsong with a series of wild strikes but Harmsong uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
John Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Harmsong slips a straight right by Smith.
Smith moves out of range as Harmsong throws a body kick.
Harmsong slips a jab and a cross from Smith.
Smith takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Harmsong swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Smith misses with a double jab

and Harmsong holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Harmsong lands an uppercut.

Harmsong manages to break the clinch.
Harmsong digs a good body shot into Smith's ribs.
Harmsong bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Smith's head.
Harmsong lands a head shot.
Harmsong throws a right hand that Smith ducks under and follows up with a left that Smith also avoids with ease.
Smith walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

It looks like John Smith has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Smith throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Harmsong counters with a straight right hand.
Smith is breathing heavily.

Harmsong moves into the clinch successfully.
Harmsong has Smith pushed against the cage.

Harmsong manages to break the clinch.
Smith displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Smith takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Harmsong lands with a thumping leg kick.
Harmsong throws a push kick but Smith slaps the foot to one side.
A solid leg kick lands there for Harmsong.

Harmsong feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Let's hope that Harmsong has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Yurian Harmsong was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Smith misses with a combination
and Harmsong counters with a one-two to the body.

Harmsong closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Harmsong's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Smith misses with a double jab
letting Harmsong counter with a right hand.
Harmsong lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Smith backs up against the cage.
Smith swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Harmsong connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
A solid leg kick lands there for Harmsong.
Harmsong connects with a jab.

Harmsong lands a left and a right that send Smith crashing to the mat, dazed. Harmsong thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Smith is rocked!
Harmsong lands with a right and another and another! Smith is in big trouble! Harmsong lands again and this time it's lights out for Smith! A quality knockout there for Harmsong.
