Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Valeri Chadov and Fedor Mirinova.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dam throws a low kick but Dukov moves out of range easily.
Dam tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dukov was well out of range. Poor timing from Dam.
Dukov bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Dam looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Dam throws a right and a left that both miss.
Dam dives in and grabs Dukov's left leg, looking for a takedown. Dukov pushes down on Dam's head and hops out.
Dukov shoots in and drives through. Dam sprawls well.
Dukov shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dam as he jumps to the side.

and Dukov counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Dam's guard now.
Nikolay Dukov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Van Dam.
Dukov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dam swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Dukov wants to control from the top but Dam keeps moving.

Dam has his foot on Dukov's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dukov works his way back into a safe position though.

Dukov drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Dam dives on top into guard.
Dam throws and elbow that misses. Dukov uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Dam's guard. Nice move by Dukov!
Dam lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Dukov!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dukov has hold of Dam's hands but Dam slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Dam lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Dam connects with a nice short shot to Dukov's temple.

Dam slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Dam scores with a hook to the body. Dukov takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Dam drops Dukov with a big left hand and mounts him. Dukov is in big trouble!

Dam drops a big elbow. That's hurt Dukov! More shots from Dam and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
