Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Camerino Fernandez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Orson Welles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Welles is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Thomas the Tank Engine vs. Biggy Smalls. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yuuki Gou and Yasuomi Hirokawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fernandez shoots for a double leg takedown but Welles sprawls well. He's pushed Fernandez's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Welles pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A head kick from Welles lands but Fernandez takes it in his stride.

It looks like Camerino Fernandez has been cut.
Fernandez takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Fernandez blocks the body kick.
Welles throws a jab but it's blocked by Fernandez.
Welles leaves Fernandez with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Fernandez is defended easily by Welles.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Camerino Fernandez. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Welles displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Fernandez.

Fernandez changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Welles looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Fernandez tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Welles tries to improve position but can't.
Welles manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Fernandez wants to control but Welles is keeping him busy.

Fernandez misses with a head shot. Welles uses the momentum to regain guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Welles is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Welles stands up and waves to Fernandez to follow him.
Crunch! Welles slams his shin into Fernandez's torso.

Fernandez takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Fernandez connects with a nice looking jab.
Fernandez shoots for a takedown but Welles saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Welles stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Welles wants it to stay on the feet.
Fernandez looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Welles is fending him off so far but Fernandez persists. Nope, Welles circles away and we're back to standing.

Fernandez has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Welles.
Welles thumps Fernandez with a low kick.
Fernandez is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Welles lands with a nice body kick.
Welles thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Fernandez if he has to take too many more of those.
Welles fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Fernandez to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Fernandez looks to clinch but Welles throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Fernandez taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
