Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mike Thorn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Lebaron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thorn kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is AC/DC - TNT. Mike Thorn has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left and a right from Lebaron both land. Nice combination.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Thorn!
Lebaron takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Lebaron tries a head kick but it misses.
Thorn throws a looping overhand right but Lebaron ducks down to avoid it.
Lebaron lands with a kick to the temple. Thorn shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Lebaron shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Thorn eats them both and turns towards Lebaron to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lebaron can do anything to dispel that myth.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Thorn accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Thorn wants to control from the top but Lebaron keeps moving.
Thorn chips away with some ground and pound.
Lebaron tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Thorn postures up in Lebaron's guard and throws a big left but Lebaron blocks it.
Thorn is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Lebaron is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Lebaron preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Lebaron looking for a sweep. Not yet Lebaron, not yet.
Thorn trying to control the position from guard on top but Lebaron is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Mike Thorn wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Thorn swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Lebaron.
Thorn uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lebaron.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Thorn crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Lebaron - the referee stops the clock and Thorn gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Lebaron. Thorn manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Lebaron tries to move into range but Thorn moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Thorn shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lebaron sprawls well. Lebaron wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Thorn gets slowly back to his feet.

Thorn throws the left hand but Lebaron avoids the punch easily.

and Thorn counters with a left and a right that stings Lebaron.
Lebaron wants to clinch but Thorn slips to the side
and Thorn counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Lebaron swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Lebaron throws a sloppy head kick and Thorn moves out of range easily.

and Thorn counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Thorn checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Thorn takes a swing at Lebaron's ribcage but misses.

Lebaron pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Thorn uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Lebaron.

and Thorn counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Thorn.
Thorn is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Lebaron.

Thorn throws a right hand that Lebaron ducks under and follows up with a left that Lebaron also avoids with ease.
Lebaron throws a combination that misses
and Thorn counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Thorn keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Lebaron's head.
Lebaron is trying to keep Thorn in close.

Thorn throws a strike aimed at the side of Lebaron's head but Lebaron avoids it well.

Thorn seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lebaron does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

A big strike lands for Thorn! That's really hurt Lebaron and he's turned his back - Thorn keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Thorn jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
