The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cook misses with a hook. johnson ducked under it nicely.
Cook keeps the fight on the outside.
Sloppy strikes from Cook. Those never looked like landing.
The fighters circling - Cook throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Cook drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

johnson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Cook stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. johnson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Cook is working johnson over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Cook missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Cook with a flurry of punches that miss.

johnson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Cook is aware though and is defending well.

Cook sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed johnson's guard.
johnson wants to control but Cook is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Cook is pressing down on johnson's thigh, looking to free his foot. johnson is holding on for now.
Cook has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
