Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gravy Train (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Cristo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gravy Train!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Michael Cristo!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, John Mangel and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cristo closes the distance and clinches.
Cristo looking for a takedown.
Cristo wants to break the clinch but can't.
Cristo is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Train is defending well for now.
Cristo blocks an elbow strike.

Train lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Cristo tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Train just stands there and leans against the cage.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Train with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Cristo wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Train is pressed up against the cage. Cristo has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Train down to the mat. Train avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Cristo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Train paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Train throws an elbow that misses.
Cristo drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Train works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cristo manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Train manages to get himself to full guard.
Cristo must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Cristo has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Train is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Cristo.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Cristo is on top in guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Cristo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Train tries to avoid it but Cristo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Train to the ground. Train escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Gravy Train is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Train tries a head kick but it misses.
Train tries to clinch up but Cristo circles away and keeps his distance.

Cristo bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Train's head.
Train walks into a left hand.
Cristo throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Michael Cristo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Cristo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Train's waist but Train gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cristo off to one side.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Michael Cristo.
I think Train has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
