Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zanos Pogrieshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Aha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pogrieshi comes into the arena with Nile - the Infinity Of Stone blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pogrieshi misses with a head kick.
Aha looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Pogrieshi is fending him off so far but Aha persists. Nope, Pogrieshi circles away and we're back to standing.
Aha shoots in for a takedown but Pogrieshi shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Pogrieshi falls off balance throwing a combination

and Aha counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Aha trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Aha won't allow Pogrieshi to get back to his feet.
Pogrieshi is breathing heavily.
Aha trying to control the position from guard on top but Pogrieshi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Pogrieshi wants to get back to his feet but Aha is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Aha controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Aha thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Aha won't allow Pogrieshi to get back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Aha is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Pogrieshi looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Aha puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Pogrieshi tries to roll over but Aha keeps him under control.

Aha is trying to work for a kimura but Pogrieshi is defending well.
