The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Campbell shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has truman pinned against the cage. truman gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
truman slips a jab from Campbell.
Campbell keeps the fight on the outside.
Bryan Campbell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Campbell looks to score with a jab to the body but truman is just out of range.

truman feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
truman tries to free his leg and advance position but Campbell is retaining full guard.

Campbell looking for a guillotine here but truman defends easily.
truman wants to stand and escape but instead Campbell has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Campbell is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! truman is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! truman has escaped and now he's on top!

Campbell is looking for a triangle but truman pushes his legs off easily.
Campbell wants to improve his position but instead truman has moved into half guard.

truman would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Campbell feints and as truman raises his hands in defense, Campbell changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Campbell looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
