The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thunderwrath fails with the takedown

and Rogan counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Thunderwrath flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Rogan is trying to control the action in half guard but Thunderwrath is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Rogan not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Thunderwrath is defending against the submission attempts here by Rogan.
Thunderwrath gets full guard.
Rogan passes Thunderwrath's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Thunderwrath wants to control but Rogan is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Thunderwrath wants to improve his position but Rogan is controlling well.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Rogan connects with a nice short shot to Thunderwrath's temple.
Thunderwrath is staying active underneath Rogan, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Rogan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Thunderwrath swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rogan is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Thunderwrath has escaped the position, nice work there.
Rogan cracks Thunderwrath with a big elbow.

Rogan has an Americana. Thunderwrath didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Rogan is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Rogan hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
