Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jose Wolverine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Foot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Foot throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wolverine's waist but Wolverine gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Foot off to one side.

Wolverine wants to get back to his feet but Foot is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Foot drops back looking for a leg! Wolverine is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wolverine manages to kick Foot off! Foot jumps back into Wolverine's guard.
Foot tries to free his leg and advance position but Wolverine is retaining full guard.
Wolverine will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Foot decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Wolverine's guard.

Foot trying to control but Wolverine is working from the bottom.

Foot thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Foot stands up over Wolverine, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Foot throwing strikes from guard but Wolverine blocks nicely.

Wolverine trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Foot is looking to clinch but Wolverine is avoiding it.
Foot shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Wolverine holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Wolverine misses with an elbow over the top.
Wolverine prevents a takedown attempt there.
Wolverine wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Wolverine wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Wolverine is trying to break the clinch but Foot has him pressed against the cage.
Foot stalling.

Foot breaks from the clinch.
Foot shoots in but Wolverine avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Wolverine throws a right and a left that Foot avoids nicely.
Wolverine throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Foot counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Foot.
Foot has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Wolverine is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Foot counters with a nice double leg into side control. Wolverine won't be happy with that.

Foot has hold of Wolverine's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Wolverine tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Foot cranks the arm and Wolverine screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Wolverine, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
