Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kenshiro Yamada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carling Foster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kenshiro Yamada!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Carling Foster!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yamada lunges at Foster with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Foster's hand.
Foster is looking to clinch.
Yamada connects with a body shot that sends Foster's belly button to the back.
Foster misses with a wild body shot.
Foster circles away from the clinch attempt.
Yamada looks to land a combination. Foster sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Yamada throws a one two combo.
Yamada throws a looping overhand right but Foster ducks down to avoid it.

Foster misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Yamada scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Yamada tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Foster counters with a nice double leg into side control. Yamada won't be happy with that.
Yamada dodges the ground and pound from Foster.
Yamada tries to buck Foster off but Foster is having none of it.
Yamada is pushing Foster's head away, looking to escape. Foster manages to hold on to the position though.

Foster tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Foster is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Yamada is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Yamada trying to control but Foster flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!

Foster working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.

Yamada wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Yamada swats away the attempt to clinch by Foster.
Yamada dodges the punch combination from Foster.
Foster takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Foster walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Yamada moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Yamada cracks Foster with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Foster throws a predictable looking body shot

and Yamada counters by clinching up.

Yamada breaks the clinch.
Foster misses with a low kick as Yamada jumps back.
Foster avoids a punch combination nicely.
Horrible takedown by Foster or perhaps it was just good defense by Yamada which made him look bad.
Yamada throws a lazy right hand but Foster sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Yamada throws a shot to the body.
Yamada uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Foster.

Yamada fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Foster, pushing him back against the ropes.
Yamada lands a left hand.

Yamada pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Foster uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Yamada.

Yamada fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Yamada checks a leg kick.
Foster misses with a takedown
and Yamada connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Foster keeps the fight on the outside.
Foster just misses with a punch to the body.
Foster keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Yamada fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Foster clinches with his opponent.
A body shot lands from Yamada.
Foster drops down looking for an ankle pick but Yamada pulls his leg out and moves away.
Kenshiro Yamada has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carling Foster.
Yamada lands with a nice body punch.
Foster doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Foster tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Yamada paws at him with a jab and circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Yamada looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Yamada digs a good body shot into Foster's ribs.
Yamada lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Foster misses the jab.
Yamada throws a series of punches but Foster avoids them all with ease.
Foster misses with a takedown attempt - Yamada sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

A looping hook to the body misses from Foster. Yamada does a little dance to reset his feet.

Foster tries to clinch up
and Yamada counters with a left to the body.
Kenshiro Yamada seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Foster throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Yamada's waist but Yamada gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Foster off to one side.
Yamada throws out a powerful jab.
Kenshiro Yamada is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Yamada looks to land a combination but Foster avoids it well.

Yamada swinging wildly here.
Yamada connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Yamada lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Yamada lands with a nice body punch.
Foster looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Yamada is fending him off so far but Foster persists. Nope, Yamada circles away and we're back to standing.

Yamada clinches up with Foster and pushes him back against the ropes.

Foster prevents Yamada from breaking the clinch.
Yamada works on Foster's body with a couple of short punches.

Foster tightens his grip and picks Yamada up, before dumping him to the ground. Yamada manages to land in guard.

Yamada is trying to keep Foster in close.
Yamada looking to hit a scissor sweep but Foster is one step ahead there.
Foster throws a big right hand that misses.

Yamada is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Foster is aware though and is defending well.

Foster drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Yamada manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Foster has Yamada in his guard.
Foster looking to hit a scissor sweep but Yamada is one step ahead there.

That's eight minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Yamada wants to pass the guard but Foster is keeping the position.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Foster holds on and takes a little breather.
Yamada wants to stand but Foster has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Foster is working an open guard so Yamada takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Yamada clinches.
Yamada scores with a hook to the body.
A left hand lands to the body for Yamada.
Foster jumps guard but Yamada stands there with Foster around his waist. Foster gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Foster tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Yamada just stands there and leans against the ropes.

That's nine minutes gone in the round.

A short uppercut from Yamada.
Come on Yamada - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Foster.
Foster wants a takedown.
Yamada lands a body shot in the clinch.
A body shot lands from Yamada.
Yamada gets through Foster's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Foster can't get the takedown.
Foster looks gassed!
With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Yamada creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Yamada's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Yamada closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Yamada rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Foster moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Yamada connects with a body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kenshiro Yamada dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Foster drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Yamada parries the strikes from Foster easily there. Foster is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Yamada to escape.
Yamada is looking for a sweep.

Foster tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Foster has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Foster working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Foster is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Yamada looks calm but he's in trouble here. Foster gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Yamada is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Foster lets go of the hold and Yamada can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Carling Foster!
