PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tai Stick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Thai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stick kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Samoa Island National Anthem. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mike Thai!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Hugh Johnson and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Thai moves out of range of the leg kick from Stick.
Thai misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Stick tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Thai manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Stick tries to close the distance and clinch up but Thai swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Stick throws a series of punches but Thai avoids them all with ease.

Thai tries a head kick but it misses.
Thai lands with a kick to the temple. Stick shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Stick chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Thai can pounce on him.

Let's hope that Thai has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Stick fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Thai has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
