The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Onopko stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Onopko wants it to stay on the feet.
Salonen shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Onopko but Onopko pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Salonen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Onopko's waist but Onopko gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Salonen off to one side.
Viktor Savelyevich Onopko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jenni Salonen.
Salonen dives in and grabs Onopko's left leg, looking for a takedown. Onopko pushes down on Salonen's head and hops out.
Salonen fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Onopko avoids it really well and circles away.
Salonen fails with a takedown attempt.
Salonen looks gassed!
