Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Max Wiles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mattias Markstrom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Markstrom avoids a kick to the body.

Markstrom has managed to clinch.
Wiles gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

It looks like Mattias Markstrom has been cut.
Markstrom blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Markstrom is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Wiles pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Wiles wants to lay and pray for a moment but Markstrom keeps working.
Markstrom is looking to improve his position.
Wiles tries to pass to full mount but Markstrom defends it.

Wiles thows a huge punch but Markstrom dodges it nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wiles looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Markstrom is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Wiles's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Wiles's back!
Wiles is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Markstrom.
