Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wiang Kwai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith comes into the arena with Stratovarius - Maniac Dance blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kwai throws a hook to the side of Smith's head but Smith sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Kwai throws a lazy right hand but Smith sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Kwai throws a body punch but Smith moves out of range.
Kwai is looking to clinch.
Smith swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Kwai tries to close the distance and clinch but Smith swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kwai lands a nice shot to the body.
Smith keeps the fight on the outside.
Kwai displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Smith throws out the jab.
Kwai steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Smith.
Smith uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kwai.
Nice defenses there by Smith.
Kwai throws a hook but Smith blocks it.
Smith ducks under a wild hook from Kwai.
Kwai throws the left hand but Smith avoids the punch easily.
Kwai tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Kwai throws a shot from downtown. Smith moves away and avoids it.
Kwai takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Kwai connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Smith bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Smith scores with a crisp jab that stopped Kwai in his tracks.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kwai throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kwai might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Kwai looks gassed!
Kwai throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Smith sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Smith misses with a series of wild punches.
Smith blocks a low kick nicely.
Smith feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Kwais jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Kwai fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Smith manages to avoid it.
Kwai looks to throw the jab but Smith is out of range.

The fighters circling - Smith throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Smith throws a series of punches but Kwai moves out of range.
Kwai throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Smith throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Smith darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Kwai wants to clinch up but Smith keeps it at a distance.
Smith is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

Wiang Kwai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Smith is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Kwai doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Smith fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Kwai on the side of the head.
Smith moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Smith jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Smith throws a good cross that connects.
Kwai is still on wobbly legs! Can Smith finish him?
Kwai has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
and Smith counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Kwai! He's just covering up as Smith starts to tee off till referee steps in and stops the fight!
