Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Ribrisko as Suarez shoots in.
Suarez fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Suarez throws a right and a left that both miss.
Suarez throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Ribrisko looks for a takedown but Suarez sprawls well.
Suarez throws a series of punches but Ribrisko moves out of range.
Ribrisko takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Suarez jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Suarez works Ribrisko's body with a nice hook.
Suarez scores with a punch to the head.
Ribrisko fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Suarez rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ribrisko moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Suarez lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ribrisko circles away quickly and effectively.
Suarez misses with a few strikes there.
Suarez misses with a double jab.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ribrisko shoots in for a takedown but Suarez shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Japovisky Ribrisko. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ribrisko takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Ribrisko dodges the punch combination from Suarez.
Suarez scores with a nice head shot.

and Suarez counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Suarez is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Suarez looks to land a combination but Ribrisko avoids it well.
Suarez doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Ribrisko decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Suarez's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Suarez avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Ribrisko thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ribrisko wants to control from the top but Suarez keeps moving.
Suarez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ribrisko. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ribrisko throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Suarez works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Suarez tries to land a sweep but no joy.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Suarez can do anything to dispel that myth.

Ribrisko drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Ribrisko as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Suarez screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Ribrisko! Nice submission victory there!
