The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Tweedy.
Santiago avoids a punch combination nicely.
Tweedy connects with a crisp jab.
Santiago moves away from the strike by Tweedy.
Tweedy misses with a wild combination.
Nice sprawl there from Tweedy as Santiago shoots in.
Ben Tweedy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tweedy lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Santiago looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Santiago closes the distance and clinches up with Tweedy, looking for a takedown. Santiago pushes Tweedy against the cage but Tweedy circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Tweedy uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Santiago has time to react.
Tweedy scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Tweedy looks to land a combination but Santiago avoids it well.
Tweedy misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Tweedy gets caught flat footed, as Santiago shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Santiago has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Tweedy is trying to control the position but Santiago postures up.

Santiago drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Tweedy manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Santiago has Tweedy in his guard.

Tweedy tries to free his leg and advance position but Santiago is retaining full guard.
Santiago is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Santiago turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Tweedy off and cradles Santiago's limp body as Tweedy celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:03 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Ben Tweedy!
