Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alberto Aquilani!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Giorgio Lombardi!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Patrick Alders and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Aquilani.
Aquilani misses with a low kick.
Aquilani rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lombardi moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Lombardi moves out of range of the leg kick from Aquilani.
Aquilani throws a leg kick but Lombardi sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Aquilani misses with a straight left.
Aquilani throws a chopping leg kick but Lombardi manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Lombardi scores with a nice head shot.
Lombardi throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Aquilani tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Aquilani takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Lombardi goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Aquilani is rocked!
Aquilani gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Oh Aquilani is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lombardi is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Lombardi pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Aquilani is keeping the position for now.
Aquilani looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Lombardi passes into side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A big shot lands for Lombardi! That's hurt Aquilani! Will he recover? Lombardi fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
