Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Teemu Tuominen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexis Sherki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sherki has chosen Rise Against - Prayer of the Refugee as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Alexis Sherki has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Teemu Tuominen's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sherki is defended easily by Tuominen.
Tuominen swinging wildly here.
Tuominen swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Tuominen tries to bum rush Sherki with a series of wild strikes but Sherki uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Sherki avoids a punch combination nicely.

Tuominen looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Sherki wants to stand and escape but Tuominen is having none of it.
Tuominen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sherki on the ground.

Sherki is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Tuominen is aware though and is defending well.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Teemu Tuominen wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Tuominen misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Tuominen looks to land a combination but Sherki avoids it well.

Sherki is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Tuominen gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Sherki tries a knee to the head but Tuominen blocks it.

Tuominen ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Tuominen no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Tuominen has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Tuominen's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Sherki wants to stand but Tuominen is controlling his posture from full guard.
Tuominen pulls Sherki in close to his closed guard and prevents Sherki from doing any damage or advancing position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Sherki tries for a takedown but Tuominen sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Teemu Tuominen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alexis Sherki.
Sherki avoids a punch combination nicely.

Tuominen feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Sherki sprawling to the canvas! Sherki rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Tuominen finish him?!

It looks like Alexis Sherki has been cut.
Tuominen lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sherki circles away quickly and effectively.

Tuominen lands a big right hand that sends Sherki crashing to the mat! Tuominen stays standing though and waves Sherki back to his feet!

Sherki is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Tuominen fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Tuominen feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Sherki crashing to the mat! This one is all over!
