The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Foster tries to bum rush Elite with a series of wild strikes but Elite uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Elite tries to clinch but Foster is having none of it.
A solid leg kick lands there for Foster.

Foster is not content to let Elite control the position.

Elite seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Foster does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Elite fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Foster sprawls well initially but Elite persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Elite wants to get up but he can't break Foster's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
