Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmi Laporozzo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leeroy Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jimmi Laporozzo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Leeroy Jenkins!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Eliza Hachem and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jenkins looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Jenkins gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Jenkins wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Laporozzo has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Jenkins clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Laporozzo is not going to allow Jenkins to sit and survive in this position.
Jenkins tries to escape but Laporozzo has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Will Laporozzo go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Jenkins rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Jenkins wants to control but Laporozzo is keeping busy.

Jenkins is refusing to be controlled, as Laporozzo sits in half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Jenkins is holding on to half guard well.
Jenkins is looking for a sweep. Laporozzo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Jenkins clinches up with Laporozzo and pushes him back against the cage.
Jenkins is pressed up against the cage. Laporozzo has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jenkins down to the mat. Jenkins avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Laporozzo darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Laporozzo is thwarting Jenkins's attempts to control the position.
Jenkins keeping hold of Laporozzo's head, controlling as best he can.
Laporozzo is keen to just control but Jenkins is a slippery customer.
Jenkins tries to roll over but Laporozzo keeps him under control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jenkins can do anything to dispel that myth.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Laporozzo is looking to take a break and control but Jenkins is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Jenkins is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Laporozzo jumps into side control!
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Jenkins is not content to let Laporozzo control the position.
Laporozzo is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Jenkins's shoulder. That is not cool.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Jimmi Laporozzo has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Laporozzo closes the distance but Jenkins moves to the side

and Jenkins counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
A battle for position here, against the cage.

Laporozzo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Laporozzo keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Laporozzo fails with the takedown

and Jenkins counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Laporozzo is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jenkins defends well.
Jenkins controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Laporozzo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jenkins gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Laporozzo is breathing heavily.

Laporozzo is looking for a triangle but Jenkins pushes his legs off easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jimmi Laporozzo will probably get the nod.
That's time! Laporozzo's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Laporozzo misses with a takedown attempt

and Jenkins holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Jenkins is trying to force a seperation but Laporozzo has the dominant position.

Laporozzo is fighting off a takedown attempt but Jenkins is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Laporozzo to the mat. Laporozzo regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Jenkins stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Laporozzo swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Jenkins trying to control but Laporozzo is working from the bottom.
Laporozzo is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Laporozzo looking for a sweep. Not yet Laporozzo, not yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Laporozzo is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Jenkins is looking to land body kicks.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Jenkins is working for takedown but Laporozzo is calmly controlling the position for now.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Laporozzo looking to stall.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Laporozzo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Jenkins shoots for a takedown but Laporozzo saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

and Jenkins counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Laporozzo!

Jenkins avoids the attempt from Laporozzo to control.
Jenkins content just to control the position here.
Laporozzo is desperately trying to improve his position but Jenkins has a good base and remains in mount.
Laporozzo tries to lock up and control but Jenkins gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Laporozzo slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Leeroy Jenkins has got the better of the ground game so far.
Jenkins looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Laporozzo with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Jenkins is trying to work for a kimura but Laporozzo is defending well.
Jenkins is thwarting Laporozzo's attempts to control the position.

Jenkins is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Laporozzo is just riding it out for now. Jenkins eventually gives up the hold.

Laporozzo has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Jenkins. Oh but Laporozzo has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Jenkins goes limp - he's gone! Laporozzo jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Jimmi Laporozzo!
