Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Alex Brealey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roger Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alex Brealey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Roger Nelson!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Patrick Alders and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brealey lands with a thumping leg kick.
Nelson tries to clinch up but Brealey circles away and keeps his distance.
Brealey throws a leg kick but Nelson moved away.
Nelson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Brealey swivels and escapes.
Brealey connects with a crisp jab.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Brealey looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Nelson throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Brealey blocks it with crossed arms.
Nelson tries to pull guard but Brealey won't allow it.

Nelson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Brealey throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Brealey is stalling here. Nelson is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Brealey seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Nelson has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

and Brealey makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Nelson throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Brealey fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Nelson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Brealey fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Nelson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Nelson takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Nelson throws a head kick but Brealey moves out of range.

Brealey ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Brealey no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Brealey escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Nelson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Nelson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Brealey sprawls well. Brealey wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Nelson gets slowly back to his feet.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Brealey, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
