Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yuuki Gou and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Lavi has a takedown stuffed.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Alves clinches with his opponent.
Lavi tries to stall but Alves uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Alves manages to break the clinch.
Lavi shoots in looking for a takedown. Alves tries to sprawl out of it but Lavi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Alves manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Alves shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Alves was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Lavi tries to lock up and control but Alves gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Alves postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Lavi looks a forlorn figure.
Lavi tries to lock up and control but Alves gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Alves is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Alves wants to control the pace but Lavi is squirming around nicely.

Lavi kicks Alves off and gets back to his feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Lavi has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
We're going to have a standup here because Cross Lavi wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Alves keeps the fight on the outside.
Lavi shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Alves's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lavi is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Alves really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lavi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Lavi shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Alves but Alves pushes him off and we're back to square one.

He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Alves looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Lavi! Submission of the night perhaps?
