Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Igor Kirillov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Karate DO!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Sosuke Kotani and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kirillov shoots in looking for a takedown. DO tries to sprawl out of it but Kirillov keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. DO manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Kirillov fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
DO clinches with his opponent.
A short body shot lands from DO as the two fighters clinch.
DO pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Kirillov enables DO to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kirillov manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
DO avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Kirillov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but DO can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
DO tries to stand but Kirillov is controlling from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kirillov looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Kirillov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. DO doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. DO manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Kirillov looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Kirillov not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
DO is looking to stand up but Kirillov won't let him.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
DO wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Kirillov's closed guard. He's half up but Kirillov has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Kirillov pivots and extends the arm, DO falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Kirillov! Well done that man!
